There is no other flooring type that has the design flexibility of tile. There are multiple shapes, sizes, installation patterns, and colors that give tile endless design choices. Tile can be installed on floors, walls, in showers, tubs, backsplashes, ceilings, inside or outside. It can also be installed on countertops, table tops, fireplaces, and more. Tile is very durable, easy to clean, and can add value to your home.

Tile Types

Ceramic Tile
Ceramic tile is a mixture of clays and other natural materials that are mined from the earth, shaped, and fired at high temperatures. Traditional ceramic tile can be naturally-colored and left unglazed, like terra cotta, or they can feature colored or highly designed surfaces which can be glazed (finished with a glass surface) from matte to high gloss

Porcelain Tile
Porcelain tile is a ceramic tile that is generally made by the dust pressed method from a composition which results in a tile that is dense, impervious, fine grained and smooth, with a sharply formed face. Porcelain tile is available in mat, unglazed, or a high polished finish, and is manufactured in various thickness and sizes.

Quarry Tile
Quarry tile is a glazed or unglazed tile made by the extrusion process from natural clay or shale. This tile is most common in the dark red shades; however, shades of brown and gray are also available.

Mexican Tile (Terracota)
Mexican tile (Terracota) is generally hand-made and varies in color, texture, and appearance. It is available in various shapes and sizes. The tile may come pre-finished or require the application of various types of sealers or coatings on site to provide a more durable surface.

Terrazzo Tile
Terrazzo tile is pre-manufactured, consisting of marble or granite chips in a portland cement or epoxy matrix in various thickness' and sizes.

Agglomerate Tile
Agglomerate tiles are manufactured by mixing graded marble or granite chips of various sizes with portland cement, polyester resin, or epoxy. Thickness may vary from 6mm to 20mm and may be ordered in other thicknesses to meet specifications.
